Parish Life

St. Margaret’s Parish has many ministries, which give you the opportunity to serve our parish, the larger community, and the city. God calls us to use our gifts and talents to glorify Him and make life better for other people. Please prayerfully consider the following opportunities for getting involved in ministry.

Altar Server:

Boys and girls from Grade 3 and above who assist the priest at the liturgy.

Baptism Preparation:

Preparing parents for the formation of their child’s faith.

Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality:

A group that fosters devotion to Mary and strives to be a spiritual and financial organization that supports the church and school with its fundraising and functions.

Choir, Adult:

Adult parishioners who sing at the 11:00 AM Mass on Sundays. Rehearsal is held on Tuesday evenings in the choir loft at 7:00pm. They also hold special concerts throughout the year.

Choir, Children:

Children in Grades 3-8 who sing at the 9:00 AM Family Mass on Sundays. Rehearsals are held during the school year on Tuesday afternoons from 4:45 to 5:45 PM.

Eucharistic Adoration:

Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM from September through April. The Blessed Sacrament is exposed and adored by volunteers who sign up for one hour or more to pray before the Lord Jesus present in the Monstrance.

Eucharistic Minister

Extraordinary Ministers of Communion who serve the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and to the sick and homebound.

Fellowship Committee

Volunteers who coordinate social activities and gatherings of parishioners during the year.

Finance Council:

Advises the Pastor on financial matters of the parish and school. Responsible for monitoring all income and expenses, and approving the annual budgets.

Flowers and Grounds:

Volunteers who care for and beautify the grounds and church.

Food Baskets:

Non perishable foods are collected at the back of the church on the last Sunday of the month and donated to charity.
