Prayer for Our New Archbishop

Almighty and gracious God, we ask Your abundant blessings on our new spiritual leader. Send Your Holy Spirit upon him that he may lead us with wisdom and fortitude. Give him Your gifts of knowledge and understanding, deep faith, ardent hope, and enduring love.

May he be courageous in times of difficulty and compassionate in times of conflict. Lighten his heart with Your joy and peace. Above all, may he follow in the footsteps of Jesus, Your Son and our Saviour, as a witness to the Gospel and as a light to the world. And may he, in imitation of Jesus, always be welcoming and open to all of us, his brothers an sisters, as we walk beside him on the sacred path to You.
